Reginald Unterseher

Baritone

Reginald Unterseher is an award-winning composer, whose works are performed nationally and internationally. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Walla Walla University and a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from University of Missouri at Kansas City Conservatory of Music. Early honors include first place in the Spokane Music Festival and Oklahoma Symphony Young Artist Competition. Reginald performed professionally with Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Starlight Theater of Kansas City, Opera Theater of Saint Louis, and toured the southwest with Texas Opera Theater. He studied in New York City in the 1980s, including performance classes with Joan Dorneman at the Metropolitan Opera, before he and his wife Sheila made Tri-Cities their home base. Reginald has been very involved in the music and theater life of the area, appearing with the Mid-Columbia Symphony, the Walla Walla Symphony, and the Oregon East Symphony, working tirelessly for the Arts Center Task Force and the future Vista Arts Center and conducting several area choirs. He is in demand as a voice teacher and is Music Director and Composer-in-Residence at Shalom United Church of Christ and Associate Conductor of Mid-Columbia Mastersingers.
