Mitzi Holmes

Lyric Soprano

Mitzi Holmes is a regional soloist and has performed with the Mid-Columbia Symphony, Mid-Columbia Mastersingers, Opera on the Vine, Yakima Valley Opera Company and Broadway composer/producer Neil Berg’s “101 Years of Broadway”.

 

In addition to solo opportunities, Mitzi has served on the board of both the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers and the Arts Center Task Force. She attended Walla Walla College with a major in Vocal Music Performance, and currently studies with voice teacher, Reginald Unterseher, of Kennewick, Washington.

 

In June 2022, Mitzi was named Artistic Director of Opera on the Vine. She says, “Opera on the Vine’s mission is to inspire an appreciation for opera among all ages and backgrounds by providing pop-up and casual classical concerts at unexpected places.  The arts are an integral part of life and community, and they provide opportunities for enrichment and personal growth. Mitzi retired from a 28-year career in medical office management and billing in 2019.  Mitzi and her husband Glenn keep busy with their five grandchildren, ballroom dancing, and being constantly entertained by their two delightful Balinese kitties, Fiona & Bocelli. #operacats
